CLEANROOM
CERTIFICATION TESTING SERVICES
|
Cleanrooms, controlled environments,
and environmental chambers are tested and certified in accordance
with FED-STD-209 and IEST-RP-CC006.2 and ASTM-F50 and ISO TC-2009.
CLEANROOMS CAN BE TESTED IN THREE PHASES:
- As-built (
A cleanroom facility that is complete and ready for operation,
but without operating personnel or equipment installed.)
- At-rest (
An operational cleanroom facility without operating personnel)
- Operational (An
operational cleanroom facility with operating personnel and
equipment in place and handling their normal functions.)
Recommended Tests by Cleanroom Type based
on type of cleanroom certification and IEST RP-CC006.
5.3.1 LEVEL I: PRIMARY TESTS
a) Airflow velocity, volume and uniformity
tests
b) HEPA or ULPA filter installation teak tests
c) Airborne particle count
d) Room pressurization test
5.3.2 Level II: USER-OPTIONAL TESTS
a) Airflow parallelism tests
b) Enclosure integrity test
c) Recovery test
d) Particle fallout count
5.3.3 Level III: USER-OPTIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL
TESTS
a) Lighting level and uniformity test
b) Noise level test
c) Temperature and moisture uniformity test
d) Vibration test
Complete testing of the cleanroom is ususally
performed initially, with follow-up certifications performed one
to four times per year, based on quality control guidelines for
periodic monitoring of cleanroom performance capability.
The certification process and the IEST-RP-C006.2 methods are designed
for characterizing the performance of cleanrooms. These tests
are intended to assist planners, designers, manufacturers and
buyers in preparing detailed specifications for cleanroom procurement
and for assuring cleanroom operational compliance. Where the test
method is affected by the type of cleanroom, alternative procedures
are defined.
MicroStat Laboratories, Inc., will provide trained, field certification
technician(s) on each job, along with all required equipment and
testing apparatus. All equipment will meet current calibration
status requirements.
Price quotes will be provided prior to acceptance or initiation
of any field certification work. The quote will include the entire
scope of work to be completed and the total price including any
report work. Some jobs may be quoted on an hourly basis, if the
scope of the work required includes significant movement of equipment
and furniture to facilitate testing.
